Stem Cell Treatment

It is the name given to the removal of stem cells from the bone marrow or fat tissue from the damaged cartilage tissue or tendons with a needle and then inserting them into the joint in the same session or in another session. The amount and purity of stem cells obtained from bone marrow are generally higher than those from fat tissue. Although advanced age is not a definite contraindication for this procedure, unfortunately the chance of success decreases with age. While anesthesia is required in the operating room to be removed from bone marrow, it can also be performed in the office setting from fat tissue.
